Cristina Mena

LCMHC, QS  (she/her)

Therapist and Clinical Supervisor licensed in North Carolina and Florida  (LMHC)

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many individuals, each bringing their own complexity and resilience to therapy. I approach therapy through a trauma-focused lens, which I’ve found to be a powerful framework for understanding and addressing a wide range of challenges. Clients often describe my style as both calming and direct—nurturing yet grounded. I value transparency in the therapeutic relationship and see it as a key driver of meaningful change.

In our work together, I draw from a variety of approaches to support the trauma-focused foundation. I use EMDR, Polyvagal Techniques and Ego-State Interventions as primary tools in addressing trauma and fostering integration. Gottman interventions as well as EFT are my primary modalities for couples' work. Additional resources and interventions are often included as part of a holistic approach to treatment.
